Poringalkuthu Hydel Tourism has much in store for the visitors. One can enjoy a nice view of the Dam and the adjoining areas part from the other amenities facilitated there. While enjoying the exciting thrill of the Speed Boat, the serene voyage in the Drifting Coffee shop or the self driven Pedal Boats, you can relish the view of the green environs of this magnificent reservoir and if lucky, can spot wild animals venturing out for quenching their thirst.

There is a stylish Inspection Bungalow of Kerala State Electricity Board at Poringalkuthu is an Anglican style building which had been built during the construction of the Hydro-electric project, before independence. Located on a cliff overlooking the Poringalkuthu Reservoir, this offers a spectacular view of the reservoir and the adjoining areas.

Deep in the forest on the way to Valpara are the two dams that generate hydroelectric power to the state. Entry to the dam site is with special permission only.

The Boating facilities are provided from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and the various rates/tariff are:
Speed boat: Rs. 300 for 15 minute trip ( Max.5 persons)
Drifting Coffee Shop: Rs. 200 for 15 minute trip ( Max.5 persons)
Pedal boats : Rs.60/- for 30 minutes ( Max. 2 persons)

Entrance Pass for adults with Colour Souvenir Post card : Rs. 10 /-
Entrance Pass for children with illustrative colour playing card : Rs. 5/-

Cafeteria serving hot & cold beverages like Coffee, Tea, Cappuccino, Mochachino, Badam Milk, Noodles etc. is also facilitated
